Encouragement and a Yearning for Love

There's a part in this song where he cries out "Teach us how to love! Teach me how to love! Teach us
how to love!"
Yesterday in service Pastor preached about the "one anothers" in the bible and how in order to
do the "one anothers" which aren't suggestions, but commands---- we need to TALK TO EACH OTHER-
we need to be actively invested in one another's life! He talked about the mathematical term "PERMUTATIONS" -- (being generically defined as how many different combinations/interactions that can occur between a set number of items --- for example how many variations can occur between the numbers {1,2,3} --- you can have 123, 132, 213, 231, 312, 321 ------so in a congregation of 100 people there are 5,000 different permutations that can occur! 5,000 different combinations of opportunities for people to interact~! (and do the "one anothers" the bible tells us to do!)
So in a congregation of 150 people there are 12,000 permutations that can occur!
and in a congregation of 200 people -- 20,000 opportunities exist for interaction!
So, he went on to preach,
why aren't we doing that?? What hinders us, holds us back, keeps us from this kind of interacting?
It was an excellent message.

Now here's where my encouragement came into play!!! --------
#1 Our assistant pastor got up during the 'call to prayer' and he usually shares a passage of scripture
and in this time he shared that he is a deep and wonderful sleeper! But GOD woke him up at 4:00 in the morning that week with the word "ANOINTING!" and did a study on it------------I KNOW IN MY HEART OF HEARTS THIS IS A DIRECT ANSWER TO PRAYER THAT HAS BEEN PRAYED
AT OUR HOUSE for God's presence, power and anointing to come into our church! And Pastor's message began with how we need UNITY to come into the body before the LORD's ANOINTING can really come and flow!--------my spirit was doing backflips of joy!!!
And #2 was during our prayerteams/prayertime Chuck and I prayed together before anyone came up to us for prayer and in that time I was praying for those on the fringe/ those in the body who aren't really interconnected withe deep, real and true relationships that God would give the body eyes to see those people to really reach out to them------------not realizing Pastor was going to preach a part 2 about really CONNECTING with one another! it was a total God thing and it made my heart rejoice.
Then at the end of the message Pastor showed a clip from the skit guys --- it was about a guy going to his high school reunion. He talks in the hallway about this girl. Then another guy walks out with someone else talking about this (same) girl. This guy is handicapped - crippled up - walks with a terrible limp in both legs and his arms are turned in and his face is twisted. And he shares about this girl and one day in the hallway he drops his books all over the place and she bends over and picks them up and asks if she can carry them to his class. When she drops them off she invites him roller skating the next night with friends. Hesitantly he goes and she loves him every step of the way (encouraging/supporting/embracing) - and later she invites him swimming and she helps him swim and she shares her dreams with him and asks him what his dreams are and he intensely shares of his dream of one day walking strong and tall and no cripple, no limp, and she tells him that's the stupidest thing she'd ever heard --- because he was fearfully and wonderfully made....she just gave him raw unadulterated LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE------------and this video just wrecked me. I was literally sobbing -- like had to grab tissue(S) out of my bag --- and at the end pastor didn't give an alter call but I had to go to the alter! I needed to get with Jesus! Those words out of that Jason Upton song were echoing in my soul "Teach us how to love! Teach me how to love! Teach me how to LOVE!" --- and I
just want to be that girl to everyone I meet! I want GOD'S HONEY LOVE and TOTAL acceptance to FLOW THROUGH MY BODY and reach a hurting and dying and lonely world!
Give us your Love Father.
Give us your eyes.
Help us to go beyond "Us four and no more" mentality!
